Mario Kart in The PDX Bike Lanes

Yet another affirmation of my decision to move to PDX.

“It’s unclear who did this or why?”

There is no why. Asking that question is like asking what is the nature of man or why the sun rises. Because they could. Because it was a good idea. Because a generation of latch key kids were raised by their NES’s.

Oregon Trail The Movie

I still remember playing Oregon Trail computer game on the first computer I ever used, the Apple II at my elementary school. Love the creativity behind this one, parodying all of the parts of the game brought back some serious memories. Now that I live in Oregon it is even funnier.

Space Invaders Hacker Style

This is completely badass! Space Invaders is alive an well and coming to an office near you soon. Why do people do things like this? Because they can. Because somebody is willing to risk it all to make something beautiful happen.

My Classic Plastic Page is Back

I have been extremely busy for the last month whole bunch of social media stuff at work.  As we have been getting the house under control again, finished building Immi’s new room, I managed to hook up my Nintendo again, find my bin of classic plastic (NES Games). There have been many games that I sill want to find, but eBay is totally sketchy and the shipping rates often exceeds the value of the game cartridge itself (sux).

So for my wife’s 30th birthday last week we drove around and discovered new specialty stores that carry stuff we love (her yarn, me games).  We discovered a new store in Fairfax that carries hundreds of old games for many different consoles including NES.

I decided to start tracking the games I own and ones I want to pick up (my Hit List) by creating a classic plastic page on my site again.  This way I won’t forget what I have and what I am looking for.
